"Chromies contemporaines" is curated by Leïla Simon, art critic and curator.
This retrospective of the Bertrand Museum’s collection of contemporary paintings immerses you in the second half of the 20th century, in front of great names such as Zao Wou-Ki, Titus-Carmel, Adami, Mathieu
or Estève.

The Convent of the Cordeliers of Châteauroux was built in the thirteenth century according to the type of houses of the Franciscan Order: a large church to which are adjoined two buildings in square, a wing parallel to the church closing the courtyard of the cloister. The terraced gardens, watered by three living springs, originally went down to the Indre. Large cellars served as common and outbuildings to the convent.
