The Art museum and museum of history(story) occupies, in the historic centre of Dreux, a neo-Romance chapel built in 1895 and redeveloped in 1950 to receive amazing artistic and historic collections. The key work of the collection is other than ’"Study of Wisterias" of Claude Monet, an element of world famous cycle of White water lilies. The XIXth century is indeed the period of predilection of this Museum, with centerpieces of Marius Granet, Henry Le Sidaner and of works of James Pradier, Horace Vernet, Henry Gervex or Maurice de Vlaminck, to quote only them.
