Marine Rifles are more than 160 years of military history marked by the courage and sacrifice of soldiers who have committed themselves in various theatres of operations around the world.
By offering a chronological tour, the museum invites its visitors to immerse themselves in the unknown universe of the special forces of the Navy (marine fusiliers and commandos) and to discover in turn the history of the specialty, technological developments as well as the finest feats of the unit.

Under the authority of the Commander of the Marine Rifle School, the Marine Rifle Tradition Museum is today the only museum of Marine Tradition. The museum’s team, together with a group of passionate volunteers, allow the discovery of the history of the marine rifles, through rich collections, from their creation in 1662 by Richelieu to the contemporary era.
