Built between 1893 and 1907, the Domain of Trévarez is the realisation of the dream of a man. Ambitious man, James de Kerjegu chooses prestigious architects, Destailleur, to make concrete the expression of his success. Man in his/her time, he(it) endows the castle of the most innovative technical equipments at this end of the 19th century... Interactive devices(plans) allow to seize the modernity of the place, but also " the Belle Epoque ", period with the construction of the castle, and especially the complex personality of her sponsor(sleeping partner), James de Kerjégu. Under its neo-Gothic architectural envelope - fashionable style in the second half of the 19th - the «pink castle» from Trévarez, hides the most innovative technical elements of time(period): metallic structure, electricity, central heating by pipelines of hot water, internal telephone, elevator, goods lift.. .. Recognised «Heritage of the 20th century» in 2004, the domain of Trévarez was also labelled " remarkable Garden " in 2006 for its park created in 1900, in «mixed style» then characteristic of the French gardens.
