Trained from childhood in traditional Maghreb dances and Arab-Andalusian music, Filipe Lourenço returns in Pulse(s) to his first choreographic loves, questioning his own heritage as the actuality of these ancestral cultures. In this solo, he revives the memory of these dances (allaoui, touareg, al-géroise...) often reduced to their folkloric dimension, at the heart of an open dialogue with the contemporary. In a dialogue between sound pulsations and body vibrations, Filipe Lourenço imagines a pulsatile piece as a return to the sources, where we hear the pulse pounding the world.
