The Sept-Iles National Nature Reserve, the largest ornithological reserve in metropolitan France.
"Seven kilometres from the pink rocks of Ploumana'h, the Sept-Iles archipelago spreads its granite chaos over Rouzic, the Costans, Malban, Bono, Ile aux Moines, Ile Plate and the Cerfs. 40 hectares above the water at high tide. The men left these arid surfaces with the exception of two lightkeepers who take turns every two weeks. On Île aux Moines, the largest island, the Cordeliers came to pray in solitude in the 14th and 15th centuries. Today, the archipelago is a paradise for birds."
