Anlässlich der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes öffnet das Herrenhaus von Keraouel seine Türen, um Objekte und Kuriositäten aus der Privatsammlung der Anthropologin Magda Metbas zu entdecken.
Die Anthropologin unternahm 2015 eine Atlantiküberquerung mit einem Segelboot. Eine Reise, die auf einer noch unbekannten Insel endet: dem 7. bewohnten Plastikkontinent. Nachdem sie zwei Jahre damit verbracht hat, dieses Volk zu treffen, ihre Kultur zu studieren und zu analysieren, kehrt sie 2017 zurück, um uns diese unglaubliche Geschichte zu erzählen. Wie die Entdecker vergangener Zeiten zeigt sie uns die rituellen Gegenstände dieser Zivilisation, ihre kulturelle und politische Funktionsweise sowie die lokalen Riten und Bräuche. Diese Sammlung von Artefakten ist eine erstaunliche ethnologische Ausstellung, in der die Realität die Fiktion einholt. Ein Eintauchen in ein anderes Universum, das uns ermutigt, über unsere eigene Vision der Welt, über unsere Gesellschaft des übermäßigen Konsums und über das Drama der Plastikverschmutzung nachzudenken.
Präsentiert von der bildenden Künstlerin Samba Thérie, ist diese Ausstellung für Magda Metbas eine Art, uns von einer Welt zu erzählen, an die man nicht glauben kann, und ein Abenteuer Wirklichkeit werden zu lassen, das ihr manchmal immer noch wie ein Traum, eine Illusion, ein Moment des Wahnsinns erscheint.

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Keraouel manor opens its doors to discover the objects and curiosities from the private collection of the anthropologist Magda Metbas.
In 2015, this anthropologist embarked on a sailing trip across the Atlantic. A journey that will end on an island still unknown: the 7th continent of plastic inhabited. After two years of meeting these people, studying and analyzing their culture, she returns in 2017 to tell us this incredible story. Like the explorers of yesteryear, it makes us discover the ritual objects of this civilization, their cultural and political functioning as well as the local rites and customs. This collection of artifacts is an amazing ethnological exhibition where reality overtakes fiction. A dive into another universe that encourages us to reflect on our own vision of the world, on our society of overconsumption and on the drama of plastic pollution.
Presented by the visual artist Samba Thérie, this exhibition is for Magda Metbas, a way of speaking to us about a world that we cannot believe in, and to make real an adventure that sometimes still seems to her to be a dream, an illusion, a moment of madness.

In occasione delle Giornate Europee del Patrimonio, il maniero di Keraouel vi apre le sue porte per scoprire gli oggetti e le curiosità provenienti dalla collezione privata dell'antropologo Magda Metbas.
Questa antropologa intraprende nel 2015 una traversata dell'Atlantico in barca a vela. Un viaggio che si concluderà su un'isola ancora sconosciuta: il settimo continente di plastica abitato. Dopo due anni trascorsi ad incontrare questo popolo, a studiare e ad analizzare la loro cultura, torna nel 2017 per raccontarci questa incredibile storia. Alla maniera degli esploratori di un tempo, ci fa scoprire gli oggetti rituali di questa civiltà, il loro funzionamento culturale e politico, nonché i riti e i costumi locali. Questo insieme di manufatti costituisce una straordinaria esposizione etnologica in cui la realtà raggiunge la finzione. Un tuffo in un altro universo che ci incoraggia a riflettere sulla nostra visione del mondo, sulla nostra società di consumo eccessivo e sul dramma dell'inquinamento da plastica.
Presentata dall'artista figurativa Samba Thérie, questa mostra è per Magda Metbas un modo di parlarci di un mondo in cui non si può credere, e di rendere reale un'avventura che le sembra ancora a volte un sogno, un'illusione, un momento di follia.

A l’occasion des Journées Européennes du Patrimoine, le manoir de Keraouel vous ouvre ses portes pour découvrir les objets et curiosités issus de la collection privée de l’anthropologue Magda Metbas.
Cette anthropologue entreprend en 2015 une traversée de l’Atlantique en voilier. Un voyage qui s’achèvera sur une île encore méconnue : le 7ème continent de plastique habité. Après deux ans passés à rencontrer ce peuple, à étudier et à analyser leur culture, elle revient en 2017 pour nous raconter cette incroyable histoire.
A la façon des explorateurs d’antan, elle nous fait découvrir les objets rituels de cette civilisation, leur fonctionnement culturel et politique ainsi que les rites et les coutumes locales. Cet ensemble d’artefacts constitue une exposition ethnologique étonnante où la réalité rattrape la fiction. Une plongée dans un autre univers qui nous encourage à réfléchir sur notre propre vision du monde, sur notre société de surconsommation et sur le drame de la pollution par le plastique.

Con motivo de las Jornadas Europeas del Patrimonio, la mansión de Keraouel abre sus puertas para descubrir los objetos y curiosidades procedentes de la colección privada de la antropóloga Magda Metbas.
Esta antropóloga emprende en 2015 una travesía del Atlántico en velero. Un viaje que terminará en una isla aún desconocida: el séptimo continente de plástico habitado. Después de dos años conociendo a este pueblo, estudiando y analizando su cultura, vuelve en 2017 para contarnos esta increíble historia. Como los exploradores de antaño, nos hace descubrir los objetos rituales de esta civilización, su funcionamiento cultural y político, así como los ritos y costumbres locales. Este conjunto de artefactos constituye una exposición etnológica asombrosa donde la realidad alcanza a la ficción. Una inmersión en otro universo que nos anima a reflexionar sobre nuestra propia visión del mundo, sobre nuestra sociedad de sobreconsumo y sobre el drama de la contaminación por el plástico.
