The Jeannès cannery was founded in 1928 by a family of farmers from Coat-an-Poudou. For several decades, dozens of Melgvinois and Melgvinoises worked hard to box the peas and beans harvested around them. In 1972, at the time of mass distribution, the family business was sold to Armoric which moved the site to Quimper. Today, there is nothing left of the old Jeannès cannery except the memories of its former workers...
