Built by the family of Courcelles, at the beginning of the 16th century this seigneurial home is one of the last fortified houses of the Renaissance of Tonnerrois.
As every year the manor will open its doors to the public on the occasion of the Heritage Days.
You can discover the restoration of this old fortified house of the sixteenth century built by the descendants of the lords of Tanlay!
The nearly 500-year-old building is not lacking in authenticity with its pentagonal staircase turret in ashlar stone, its mullion window, its small fortifications (Bretèche, loopholes), its vaulted cellar and its coat of arms. Witness the passing of time, the building is full of graffiti and period engravings to watch with attention!
For this year 2022 the manor will organize a retrospective of the renovation site from 1978 to the present day and tastings of local wines.

Located in the heart of Tonnerrois between the castles of Tanlay, Maulnes and Ancy-le-Franc, the manor house of Pimelles also called "castle of the monks of Molesmes" is a seigneurial residence of the beginning of the Renaissance built at the initiative of the family of Courcelles.
Saved in-extremis from the ruin in the 70s and then again in 2015, it did not fail to reach us amputated half of its surface and its outbuildings, of which still some remains.
The nearly 500-year-old building is not lacking in authenticity with its turret of pentagonal staircase in stone, its window with mullion, its small fortifications (bretèche, meurtrières), its vaulted cellar and its coat of arms.
