Visit of the school building of the CEP in Montsac
As soon as it arrived in Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais, in 1991, the CEP (Centre d'Etudes des Patrimoines) was gradually imbued with this long history of school. As a starting point, the CEP is a research and documentation centre on regional history and heritage. Then, over the years, by welcoming more and more French and foreign students, the CEP became an international research center for heritage. Indeed, for more than 30 years, the CEP welcomes students and professors from major universities (European and outside Europe), as part of a scientific program dedicated to Romanesque churches in Southern Burgundy, with a permanent reflection on the new challenges of heritage.
The development projects of the entire building (2500 m²), with a view to sustainable development, will allow to welcome in better conditions the groups of students or visitors, increasing the capacity and quality of the accommodation infrastructure.
For these 39th European Heritage Days, the CEP opens the doors of its premises: exhibitions on Romanesque art in Charolais-Brionnais, library and documentation center, museum-school, gallery of paintings, on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September, from 14h to 18h00.
