Located in the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, the convent of the Cordeliers is inscribed in the heritage of Dijon for eight centuries. From the 15th century, the importance of the monastery was so great that local personalities were buried in the private side chapels of the Cordeliers church. In the seventeenth century, the large refectory of the convent, built in the fifteenth century, houses the splendour of the meeting of the Burgundy states and this for several decades, until the construction of the Hall of States in the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. At the beginning of the eighteenth century, the galleries of the cloister were rebuilt, remained intact, and are still admired today. At that time, the Cordeliers also have salt granaries and large French gardens.
