Unexplainably forgotten for 140 years, the Saussy tower is a unique building in France: the only water tower whose lift pump was powered by a wind turbine. You can also take a guided tour of the site (30 minutes) and go to the historic carousel designed by Paul BREDIN, the tower builder. A carriage shuttle will take you there! A few kilometers from Saussy, you can also visit the site of the Forges de Val Suzon.
Please note: The videos are looped, the guided tours are conducted throughout the arrivals. No booking required.

Built in 1879, the Saussy tower is the only water tower in France whose lift pump was powered by a wind turbine. A spectacular phase of work has closed the gaps and allows us to show our visitors the interior of the building, opened exceptionally, where a surprise awaits them... Guided tours, refreshment and video projections on the history of the site.
