VdV

The event

The association "VdV" set up in 2011 an event that became a classic of the genre: «the retromobile day of the Etrabonne castle». Every Heritage Sunday, the former small fief of Etrabonne located along the river in Champagne-sur-Vingeanne gathers owners of old vehicles for a country day. The public freely enters the park to admire the machines of another age from the 2CV to the oldest or rarest cars or motorcycles.

With its 3-hectare park, the Etrabonne Castle in Champagne-sur-Vingeanne is a former small Comtois fief.

The public

The public comes many, owners of old vehicles or visitors. The entrance is free for all. Small gifts are offered to owners of old vehicles: rally plates and drinks.

At the entrance of the village, route d'Oisilly, the Château d'Étrabonne presents a historical particularity because this fief was a Comtoise enclave in a village of the kingdom of France. Built in the 15th century, near the Twentieth Century, the building underwent architectural modifications in the 18th century (wings in return) and in the 19th century, during the romantic period during which people were passionate about the Middle Ages (dormers, interior decorations, French windows). The park has retained the sobriety of the Middle Ages with its useful spaces (vegetable garden, orchard) and at the same time, facilities such as the shading room, the linden alley, the lawns, the gelinium (poultry enclosures), the outbuildings, have confirmed the elegance of the case of this castle. The relationship with the landscape is particularly striking: the gaze is carried, beyond the meanders of the Vingeanne, towards the immense meadow and finally the green landscape.
