The most important castle of Dauphiné is the old(former) house of the dukes of Lesdiguières (XVIIth century) and summer residence of the presidents of the Republic (1925-1960). It is as well in this castle as met on July 21st, 1788 the assembly of three orders of Dauphiné, which demanded reforms and convocation of the general States, sealing the destiny of the castle today Museum of French Revolution.
