The house of Salève in a remarkable site, so much by the quality of the building(ship), offered by a generous Swiss donor, Mr Ormond, and by a beauty preserved from the rural site, the house of Salève joins an approach(initiative) of sustainable development and of raising awareness in environment. Its main mission is to invite the public to discover Salève, to carry a different look on this mountain and to wonder about its future. She allows to understand the historic relation of the man and of the mountain and of, maybe, to become oneself actor of her protection. For it, numerous pretexts are offered to the public to come and to return: - The patrimonial site: the old(former) farm, witness(baton) of the traditional rural architecture, located in an environment remarkable and preserved at the foot of Salève, - A permanent exhibition which presents the massif of Salève under diverse aspects and interests the smallest even from 4 years - A play and convivial garden, - temporary exhibitions(exposures) intended(designed) to present in a more precise way themes bound(connected) to the massif, - The rich programme of mixing(involving) animations taken(brought) out on the ground, guided tours, conferences, workshops(studios) of discovery of nature for families (from 3 years according to workshops(studios)) - A programme of pedagogic and participative animations aimed at(bound for) the school public, - A room except - bag opened to all in the opening hours of the House.
