The FITE Imagine exhibition! with an exclamation point is an interjection launched to the public that aims both to challenge and push the visitor to act in the face of the current global situation and its challenges. It presents works by artists, designers, contemporary artisans as well as heritage pieces, in particular those of the Bargoin Museum. The choice to present textiles in a broad sense - woven, inset, basketry, etc - allows the integration of a greater number of practices and meanings. As with the Love etc. edition in 2020, it was decided to give more space to artists by offering them to select one or more of their works related to the theme of the edition. The artists are then interviewed in order to express themselves on their creation, on the textile and on the theme, these audio interviews being made available to the public within the exhibition. The heritage collections will be presented by the museum teams. This principle is thought of as an invitation to artists to make proposals not from another world or turnkey solutions, but rather possibilities that they invite us to imagine.
