Castle of the XIIIth century of Philippine type builds on medieval fortress of the XIth century. 4 tours(towers,ballots) of angle and 2 defending(forbidding) the drawbridge. Modifications in Renaissance: pigeon house, fireplaces, lantern... Indoors, a familiar and delightful square court(yard). Ratilly saw parading(scrolling) Hundred Years' War, then sheltered the Huguenots and the Jansenists. The Big(Great) Miss stayed there. Since 1951, it is an arts centre living with a craft(home-made) workshop(studio) of pottery, collections of traditional sandstones of Puisaye, exhibitions(exposures), concerts, artistic internships(training courses)...
