Inaugurated in June, 2015 by Ségolène Royal, Minister for Ecology, the City(Estate) of landscapes is a cultural area and pedagogic and also a public-spirited space which is aimed at developing skills of each in connection with planetary stakes.
Opened to the general public and more particularly to the children and in to them families, the City(Estate) is also a research laboratory intended(designed) for the university and scientific networks on the questions of landscapes, of biodiversity and of energy transition.
It is a place of exchanges of experiences(experiments), of resources and of training(formation) for all those who study, make and live landscapes on the scale of the department, of the region and of the Big(Great) European region: architects, farmers, town planners, associations of conservation and of education in environment, elected representatives and technicians of communities and of institutions, etc...
The City(Estate) of landscapes is at the heart of the hill of Zion(Sion) in the old(former) convent of the fathers oblates renovated and transformed respecting for heritage and for spirit of the place.
