Die gallo-römische Siedlung von Thovey ist eine bedeutende, ein Hektar große suburbane Villa außerhalb des Vicus de Casuaria.
Es besteht aus einem rechteckigen Hof (60 m x 40 m), der von einem Portikus umgeben ist und im Norden und Süden von zwei Gebäudeflügeln flankiert wird.
Nur der Nordflügel ist heute sichtbar und war Gegenstand von geplanten Ausgrabungen in den Sommern zwischen 1981 und 1999, an denen Einheimische, Piemonteser und Amerikaner teilnahmen.
Der westliche Teil entspricht großen Thermen, der östliche Teil dem Habitat. Sie sind durch einen geschlossenen Durchgang auf der Hofseite durch ein Kokeretor getrennt.
Erbaut um 50, brannte die Stätte um 270 nieder.
Das entdeckte Material ist im Archäologischen Museum von Viuz-Faverges ausgestellt.

The Gallo-Roman site of Thovey is an important suburban villa of one hectare located away from the vicus of Casuaria.
It consists of a rectangular courtyard (60 m x 40 m) surrounded by a portico and flanked to the north and south by two wings of buildings.
Only the north wing is visible today and has been the subject of excavations scheduled for the summers between 1981 and 1999 in which local people, Piedmontese and Americans participated.
The western part corresponds to large thermal baths, the eastern part to the habitat. They are separated by a closed passage on the courtyard side by a carriage gate.
Built around 50, the site was burned down around 270.
The discovered material is exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of Viuz-Faverges.

Il sito gallo-romano del Thovey è un'importante villa suburbana di un ettaro situata lontano dal vicus de Casuaria.
Si compone di un cortile rettangolare (60 m x 40 m) circondato da un portico e fiancheggiato a nord e a sud da due ali di edifici.
Solo l'ala nord è oggi visibile ed è stata oggetto di scavi programmati nelle estati tra il 1981 e il 1999 con la partecipazione di locali, piemontesi e americani.
La parte occidentale corrisponde a terme di grandi dimensioni, la parte orientale all'habitat. Sono separate da un passaggio chiuso sul lato del cortile da una porta a cocola.
Costruito intorno al 50, il sito è stato incendiato verso il 270.
Il materiale scoperto è esposto al Museo Archeologico di Viuz-Faverges.

Le site gallo-romain du Thovey est une importante villa suburbaine d'un hectare situé à l'écart du vicus de Casuaria.
Il se compose d'une cour rectangulaire (60 m x 40 m) entourée d'un portique et flanquée au nord et au sud de deux ailes de bâtiments.
Seule l'aile nord est aujourd'hui visible et a fait l'objet de fouilles programmées les étés entre 1981 et 1999 auxquelles ont participé des locaux, des piémontais et des américains.
La partie ouest correspond à des thermes de grandes dimensions, la partie est à l'habitat. Elles sont séparées par un passage fermé du côté cour par une porte cochère.
Construit vers 50, le site a été incendié vers 270.
Le matériel découvert est exposé au Musée Archéologique de Viuz-Faverges.

El sitio galo-romano de Thovey es una importante villa suburbana de una hectárea situada lejos del vicus de Casuaria.
Se compone de un patio rectangular (60 m x 40 m) rodeado por un pórtico y flanqueado al norte y al sur por dos alas de edificios.
Sólo el ala norte es visible hoy y fue objeto de excavaciones programadas en los veranos entre 1981 y 1999 en las que participaron locales, piamonteses y estadounidenses.
La parte occidental corresponde a termas de grandes dimensiones, la parte oriental al hábitat. Están separadas por un paso cerrado en el lado del patio por una puerta de cocha.
Construido hacia 50, el sitio fue incendiado hacia 270.
El material descubierto está expuesto en el Museo Arqueológico de Viuz-Faverges.
