As the guarantor of an uninterrupted textile tradition for more than 850 years, the Musée de la Rubanerie cominoise unveils all the secrets of weaving, from its traditional implementation to creations using the jacquard process, Not to mention the fabulous story of the zipper and the always surprising braiding.
Highly acclaimed by its visitors, the museum relies on the passionate transmission of our volunteers and employees through guided tours. After almost 40 years, we adapt systematically to our public allowing them to discover the riches of this museum in constant renewal. Children love to manipulate machines, technicians appreciate the discovery and evolution of techniques, artists (re)discover textile know-how.
Around thirty trades all in working order, come and explore a unique heritage and discover the folk aspects of an intangible heritage still alive!

Parking in front of the museum (one PMR place), and two large car parks nearby (less than 5 minutes walk). The site is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility (ramps, automatic doors, toilets PMR...)
