The French garden is an external extension of the Château d'Eu, part of the former royal estate of Eu. It was built in the second half of the 17th century by the Grande Mademoiselle, owner of the estate. Installed on an artificial terrace, supported by powerful sandstone walls, the garden is designed in the French style by persistent plants and embellished with a rose garden, a central fountain, spring flowering shrubs and statues.
