Mesnil-Saint-Père has a beautiful cultural heritage with its half-timbered houses and its church of Saint-André, remarkable for its architecture, its statues from the 14th and 16th centuries, its glazed tiles and woodwork.
Formerly, under the presentation of the Abbot of Montiéramey, the parish of Mesnil-Saint-Père depended on the great deanery of the diocese of Troyes. Originally, Saint-André chapel of the parish of Montiéramey, it is marked as early as the 12th century (1117) by a bull from Pope Pascal II. The analysis of the archives, both municipal and departmental, provides little information on the history of the construction of the church, and this scattered information does not allow for formally dating the building.
The current church would therefore have been born in the 12th century, and its current bell tower would be the vestige of the original construction, because the building, more complex today, affects more the physiognomy of a 16th century building. It was indeed in
