The Bibliothèque musicale La Grange-Fleuret (formerly Médiathèque Musicale Mahler) was born from the will and generosity of two musicologists, Maurice Fleuret and Henry-Louis de La Grange who wished to make their personal collections available to a wide audience.
Association governed by the law of 1901 and approved by the Fondation de France in 1986, the Bibliothèque musicale La Grange-Fleuret is a unique space for research and practice open to students, to researchers, music lovers and music professionals at the same time as a place for dissemination, mediation and sharing of knowledge for all audiences. Since 2016, as part of a strengthened cultural cooperation, the Royaumont Foundation and BLGF have wished to bring together their documentary and heritage funds under the same banner called "Bibliothèques Royaumont".
