At the beginning of the 20th century, Bourbonne-les-Bains housed several artists of national stature. If Rene Xavier Prinet is well represented in the museum of Bourbonne, his great friend André Saglio has been rather forgotten. Yet he is one of the very first contributors to the art deco style and a great decorator of the Paris opera. Adolphe Boigegrain, another decorator of the same period and native of Bourbonne, will also be present.

The Tourist Office, a large communal building that housed the former military thermal hospital, was completely rehabilitated by the city in 1980\. The Tourist Office becomes a must-see place with services, advice, animations and a real exhibition gallery.
The construction of a military hospital: On May 1, 1717, a terrible fire, fanned by a violent wind, ravaged in a few hours the entire country, except for about forty houses leaning against the hillside of the baths. Fleeing the flames without being able to take anything away, the inhabitants took refuge in the neighboring villages. It was then necessary to rebuild the city; the housing shortage was great, the soldiers found it difficult to find a shelter.
