Bishop Gabriel de Roquette established a major seminary, between the ancient rampart, the modern rampart and the Roman theatre. The gardens and interior decoration are the result of the work of the best artists of the time. Unfortunately, under the Revolution, the buildings were closed and degraded. At the beginning of the 19th century, the clergy opened a small seminary, but the state transformed the place into a cavalry school, then a military school. It is still a military high school and also houses the National Museum of Ancient Children of Troupe.
