Presentation of old books around a local theme: the vine.
Through a selection of books, the public will be able to discover or rediscover several aspects of the history of this natural heritage, marked by different episodes of endangerment.

When Jean-Louis Pascal won the competition for the construction of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Bordeaux, it is already a recognized architect who has just been appointed architect of the national library in Paris. In Bordeaux, he created a monument with a typical «Beaux-arts» plan, but a rational building, which takes into account the new discoveries of medicine and integrates modern materials of the nineteenth century. The building now houses training courses in human sciences. The university library (BU SH) offers nearly 300 reading places.
