The Collective is pleased to reveal to you in preview the film that was made by drone at the beginning of this year to reveal the trappings of this remarkable building, but also the structural weaknesses that affect it and require urgent work.
A splendid view of the Collegiate and the City of Avallon from the sky, never before offered to the general public, and a major awareness tool to encourage mobilization around our heritage in peril!
The film will run on repeat during the day (10am - 4pm), in addition to other activities (exhibition via a "path of knowledge", children’s workshop, meetings with the member associations of the Saint-Lazare Collective which is mobilizing for the restoration of Saint-Lazare), guided tours...
After 4 p.m., it’s time for the other highlights...

The Saint-Lazare collegiate church is located in Avallon in Burgundy, between Vézelay and Montreal, with which it has architectural links. Its architecture is Romanesque and its portal dates from the 12th century. The building was classified as a historical monument in 1840 and underwent restorations by Viollet le Duc. A new restoration of the Chapel of the Sacred Heart and its remarkable mural paintings is expected to be completed in autumn 2025.
