On the occasion of the Day of the Historical Gardens 2026, the tourist guide Elisabetta Zerbetti organizes a cultural walk dedicated to the discovery of the green historical heritage of the city of Bolzano.
The itinerary will take participants through the Marienklinik Park and the historic Talvera Walks, among monumental trees, historical gardens, urban landscape and panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains.
During the course, topics related to the birth of city parks, the urban development of Bolzano between the 19th and 20th centuries, the tradition of the climate city and the role of green areas in the social and cultural history of the territory will be explored.
Will intervene:
the engineer Marco Ferrarin of the Municipal Garden of Bolzano
the architect Wolfgang von Klebensberg
The visit will offer a special look at the history of the Bolzanino public green, historical botanical species, landscape design and conservation of urban gardens.
The route will develop from the district of Gries towards the Talvera, with stops and insights dedicated to the main parks and historic city walks.
At the end of the initiative, a convivial moment is planned.
Participation is open to all while seats last.
