Brief history of the castle: In the 18th century under Louis XV, Bernard Faure de Rochefort (1724-before 1796), President-Treasurer of France at the office of Guienne married, in 1753, with Françoise Léonarde du Cluzel de la Chabrerie (1735-1821) have the Château de Septfonds built in Trélissac on a plateau on the edge of the Lanmary forest by the architect Louis Victor, who built the great theatre of Bordeaux.
The Faure family belongs to the nobility of Périgord and Bordeaux. She added to her name that of the seigneury of Rochefort which she owns in the parish of Saint-Cyprien d'Auberoche, in Périgord. The filiation dates back to the 15th century to Jean du Faure de la Roderie, Lussas, Fontroubade, Baron de Saint-Martial de Valette.
The classic-style house has a facade on the garden side decorated with splits and bands highlighting the two floors. The bays are arched on the ground floor, rectangular on the first floor. On the second floor the windows are imposts..
