Built in the 12th century on an older site, the early Romanesque construction of the church has largely disappeared. Only a few elements remain, such as the south cross with a walled bay, the eastern part of the nave up to the triumphal arch surmounted by a gable, as well as the choir which is the most remarkable element. The choir consists of a seven-sided apse and is vaulted in a cul-de-four, which surprises by its simplicity. Some remains of decoration can still be seen, such as colonettes, sculpted capitals, and an enigmatic modillon to the south.
