Paulhac, ein kleines Dorf in Creuse, das zu den angenehmsten der Region zählt, beherbergt eine bemerkenswerte Templerkomanderschaft.
Die in der Mitte des 12. Jahrhunderts errichtete Commanderie von Paulhac ist eine der typischen Kreationen der ländlichen Limousin-Gotik. Sie diente als Modell für andere Templerbauten der Marche, wie Blaudeix, Chamberaud oder Saint-Moreil.
Die hier gezeigten großen Fresken stammen aus dem späten 13. Jahrhundert und sind einer der wichtigsten Anziehungspunkte von Paulhac.

Paulhac, a small Creuse village among the most pleasant in the region, is home to a remarkable Templar commandery.
Built in the middle of the 12th century, the Paulhac commandery is one of the typical creations of rural Limousin Gothic. It served as a model for other Templar buildings of the Marche, such as Blaudeix, Chamberaud or Saint-Moreil.
Dating from the end of the 13th century, the large frescoes presented here constitute one of Paulhac’s main centres of interest.
