Guided tours of the Algerian war memorial and the battles of Morocco and Tunisia
At 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, on the theme "Heritage in danger", come and discover the memorial of the Algerian war and the battles of Morocco and Tunisia. Inaugurated on December 5, 2002 by Jacques Chirac, it pays tribute to the men and women, members of the auxiliary formations, called up from the contingent or committed volunteers who died for France, as well as to the civilian victims or those who disappeared during the conflict in Algeria, in Morocco and Tunisia between 1952 and 1964. More than 26,000 names parade on its three columns blue, white, red. Alongside a mediator, discover this memorial and its historical stakes, memorials and heritage, between the edge of the Seine and the axis of traffic, exposed to bad weather and misuse.

Inaugurated in 2002 on the Quai Branly promenade, the memorial consists of three luminous columns in the colours of the French flag on which parade the names of combatants and victims of the Algerian war and the fighting of Morocco and Tunisia from 1952 to 1964\. On the ground, a dedication recalls "The memory of the fighters who died for France [...] and that of all the members of the auxiliary forces killed after the ceasefire in Algeria, many of whom have not been identified".
