Abbaye royale Saint-Nicolas de Septfontaines
Route de l'abbaye, 52700 Andelot-Blancheville
This former ecclesiastical estate of the Premonstratensian order preserves most of its conventual buildings rebuilt in the 18th century. The courtyard of honour, whose regular arrangement is underlined by a fine border of boxwood, is decorated in its center with a fountain nineteenth century whose waters gushing blithely splash the basin. The sobriety of the facades is softened by bouquets of old roses. At the back and side of the main wing, a piece of water with its island and its small romantic bridge flows through a rock cascade into the stream that crosses the property. In the secret corners of the old park, once again a vast meadow, hide some fountains, statues and musky rocks.
