Guided tour of Château Le Robillard
Guided tour of Château Le Robillard
Located between the Pays d'Auge and the plain of Caen, the Château du Robillard of Louis XIII style became the first French Agricultural High School in 1962, on the probable site of an old medieval domain with moats and control of the Passage du Gronde.
It was built around 1651 by the L'Hermite family and it sheltered the marshal of Montesquiou d'Artagnan, cousin of the famous hero of Alexandre Dumas.
It is in 1958 that the domain is bought by the General Council of Calvados in order to establish a departmental agricultural high school, entrusted then by the laws of decentralization to the good care of the Lower Normandy Region, which will be Normandy on January 1, 2016.
It offers a harmonious whole that continues to evolve and meet its many missions.
