The garden of Brécy is on four terraces connected by a beautiful staircase with convex steps and rising above the parterre at the rear of the house up to the gate overlooking the sky. These terraces have an increasing width in order to correct the perspective. The central aisle ends with two successive portals. The carved decorations are of great refinement: balusters with acanthus leaves, vases, pilasters, consoles. There are also many trees cut into topiaries, holly balls in orange crates and a small herb garden. The gardens are green, white and blue. Boxwood, yew and charms decline the greens. A collection of laurels, osmanthus and holly rests on the wall of the last terrace. Depending on the season, the flowers are tulips, irises, hellebores, peonies, romneya coulteri, cardoons, magnolias. On the house, the pink "Madame Alfred Carrière", pearly white, rubs shoulders with Decumaria sinensis. In the blues, durandii or jackmanii clematis accompany agapanthes, nepetas, perovskias and solanums. A large collection of clematis dots the garden as well as old roses behind the church.
Brécy kept a strong medieval footprint, enclosed independent gardens, Renaissance acquisitions, sculpture and embroidery, while announcing the great compositions of the classic French gardens, in close relation to the residence.
