The CAUE Rhône Métropole is located in Lyon, at 6bis, Quai St-Vincent, along the prestigious site of the Quai de Saône, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This former firing point of the town’s arquebusiers, whose foundations date back to 1664, was the subject of a contemporary restoration by architects Reichardt and Ferreux. It takes place alongside several buildings restored on this site: Les Greniers d'Abondance (DRAC Rhône-Alpes), Ecole Vétérinaire (Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et de Danse), Les Subsistances (Centre culturel de Lyon, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts), Fort St-Jean (Ecole Nationale du Trésor Public).
