So don't be surprised to experience a unique and offbeat moment: Antoine Souchav''s Yellow Magic Harpsichord is a harpsichord recital based on transcriptions by the Japanese electro group Yellow Magic Orchestra. Here, the melodies hidden beneath layers of synthesizers are extracted and revisited on the harpsichord, an instrument at the antipodes of the original creations, to produce a series of dense, energetic, often danceable pieces, in a temporal and geographical diagonal that is at once touching in its total incongruity and natural obviousness.
