Nach Niépce blieb Burgund, insbesondere Chalon-sur-Saône, bis in die 1860er Jahre eine der Wiege der Fotografie. Jean-Marie Taupenot, Edouard Loydreau, Fortuné-Joseph Petiot-Groffier und Pierre Trémeaux haben alle mit ihren Erfindungen, ihrer Praxis und ihrem Talent die Geschichte der Fotografie in der Halbzeit des 19. Jahrhunderts geprägt.
Die Ausstellung wird den Werdegang dieser vier Figuren nachzeichnen, ausgehend von den reichen Sammlungen des Museums Nicéphore Niépce und den Leihgaben der Museen von Roanne und von Sammlern.

After Niépce, Burgundy, and in particular Chalon-sur-Saône, remains one of the cradles of photography until the 1860s. Jean-Marie Taupenot, Edouard Loydreau, Fortuné-Joseph Petiot-Groffier, and Pierre Trémeaux have all made their mark on the history of photography at halftime in the 19th century, through their inventions, their practice, and their talent.
The exhibition will trace the journey of these four figures, from the rich collections of the Nicéphore Niépce museum and loans from the museums of Roanne and collectors.

Dopo Niépce, la Borgogna, e in particolare Chalon-sur-Saône, rimase una delle culle della fotografia fino agli anni 1860. Jean-Marie Taupenot, Edouard Loydreau, Fortuné-Joseph Petiot-Groffier, Pierre Trémeaux hanno tutti e quattro segnato la storia della fotografia a metà del XIX secolo con le loro invenzioni, la loro pratica, il loro talento.
L'esposizione ripercorre il percorso di queste quattro figure, a partire dalle ricche collezioni del museo Nicéphore Niépce e dai prestiti dei musei di Roanne e di collezionisti.
