The Ball of Chinon, put into service in 1963, was the first French nuclear civil power plant. Today redeployed to museum, it is a hyphen between the history(story) of nuclear production and that of its territory. During guided tours, the public will be able to discover the history(story) of this emblematic place and the functioning of a nuclear power plant.
Located in a famous region for its castles and listed(classified) in the world heritage of the UNESCO, " the Ball ", most unusual industrial heritage, is the symbol of a big(great) industrial adventure which also marked the economic development of the region.

La Boule de Chinon, mise en service en 1963, fut la première centrale civile nucléaire française. Aujourd’hui reconvertie en musée, elle est un trait d’union entre l’histoire de la production nucléaire et celle de son territoire. Lors de visites guidées, le public pourra découvrir l'histoire de ce lieu emblématique et le fonctionnement d'une centrale nucléaire.
Située dans une région célèbre pour ses châteaux et classée au patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco, "la Boule", patrimoine industriel unique en son genre, est le symbole d’une grande aventure industrielle qui a aussi marqué le développement économique de la région.
