Les Réserves du FRAC Île-de-France
43 rue de la Commune de Paris 93230 Romainville
- Seine-Saint-Denis
- Île-de-France
the Frac Île-de-France has a space to host its collection, in Romainville, which includes 1,600 m2 dedicated to the conservation and management of works, in order to optimize their dissemination throughout the territory of the Île-de-France. To offer access to the collection, 450m2 of spaces are open to the public, for a new project of presentation of works organized in a participatory mode «Get out of your reserve!».
The Reserves occupy a new building within this new centre of contemporary art in eastern Paris – a former industrial wasteland rehabilitated by the architecture agency Freaks, which also hosts the Fiminco Foundation and several galleries, grouped under the label «Komunuma», artisans of art, and the fashion and design school Parsons Paris.
This new building allows us to see the action taken with and around the collection, from the works that make it up to all the related professions in terms of conservation, management and dissemination of the collection.
