Der Verein «Herculani Iuniores» hat die historischen und insbesondere antiken Rekonstruktionen zum Ziel. Ihr Arbeitsthema war die römische Armee in der Spätantike, insbesondere die pfälzische Legion Herculiani. Die Mitglieder des Vereins rekonstruieren mit größtmöglicher Treue die Ausrüstung und das tägliche Leben der Männer der Palatinischen Legion, diese ehemalige Hilfseinheit aus Illyrien wurde von Diokletian wegen ihrer Kampffähigkeiten in den Rang einer Legion erhoben, und vor allem für den Einsatz einer tödlichen Jet-Waffe, die Plumbata. So bieten die "Herculiani Iuniores" in einem immer pädagogischen Ansatz den Besuchern des Museums ein lebendiges Panorama des römischen Militärs der späten Römerzeit, von der großen Strategie bis zur Taktik, von der Bewaffnung bis zur Kampftechnik, durch den Alltag des Legionärs.

The «Herculani Iuniores» association aims at historical re-enactments, especially ancient ones. Their theme of work is the Roman army during late antiquity, and more particularly the Palatine Legion Herculiani. The members of the association recreate with the greatest fidelity possible the equipment and the daily life of the men of the Palatine Legion, this former auxiliary unit native of Illyria was elevated to the rank of legion by Diocletian for its ability to fight, and especially for the use of a deadly jet weapon, the plumbata. It is thus that the "Herculiani Iuniores", in an approach always pedagogical, will offer to the visitors of the museum a living panorama of the Roman military fact of the late Roman period, from the great strategy to the tactics, from the armament to the techniques of fighting, through the daily life of the legionnaires.

L'associazione «Herculani Iuniores» ha come obiettivo le ricostruzioni storiche e più particolarmente antiche. Il loro tema di lavoro è l'esercito romano durante la tarda antichità, e in particolare la legione palatina Herculiani. I membri dell'associazione ricostituiscono con la massima fedeltà possibile le attrezzature e la vita quotidiana degli uomini della legione palatina, questa antica unità ausiliaria originaria dell'Illiria è stata elevata al rango di legione da Diocleziano per le sue attitudini al combattimento, e soprattutto per l'uso di un'arma letale, la plumbata. È così che gli "Herculiani Iuniores", in un approccio sempre pedagogico, offriranno ai visitatori del museo un panorama vivo del fatto militare romano della tarda epoca romana, della grande strategia alla tattica, dell'armamento alle tecniche di combattimento, passando per la vita quotidiana del legionario.

L’association « Herculani Iuniores » a pour objectif les reconstitutions historiques et plus particulièrement antiques. Leur thème de travail est l’armée romaine durant l’Antiquité tardive, et plus particulièrement la légion palatine Herculiani. Les membres de l’association reconstituent avec la plus grande fidélité possible les équipements et la vie quotidienne des hommes de la légion palatine, cette ancienne unité auxiliaire originaire d’Illyrie a été élevée au rang de légion par Dioclétien pour ses aptitudes au combat, et surtout pour l’utilisation d’une arme de jet meurtrière, la plumbata.
C'est ainsi que les "Herculiani Iuniores", dans une démarche toujours pédagogique, offriront aux visiteurs du musée un panorama vivant du fait militaire romain de l'époque romaine tardive, de la grande stratégie à la tactique, de l'armement aux techniques de combats, en passant par la vie quotidienne du légionnaire.

La asociación «Herculani Iuniores» tiene como objetivo las reconstituciones históricas y más particularmente antiguas. Su tema de trabajo fue el ejército romano durante la Antigüedad tardía, y más particularmente la legión palatina Herculiani. Los miembros de la asociación reconstituyen con la mayor fidelidad posible los equipamientos y la vida cotidiana de los hombres de la legión palatina, esta antigua unidad auxiliar originaria de Iliria ha sido elevada al rango de legión por Diocleciano por sus aptitudes de combate, y especialmente para el uso de un arma de chorro mortal, la plumbata. Así, los "Herculiani Iuniores", en un proceso siempre pedagógico, ofrecerán a los visitantes del museo un panorama vivo del hecho militar romano de la época romana tardía, de la gran estrategia a la táctica, del armamento a las técnicas de combate, pasando por la vida cotidiana del legionario.
