Romano-Gothic church of the XIIth century s. and the XVth century s. Gothic chorus(choir) with frescoes and stained-glass windows realised between 1456 and 1461 training(forming) a polychrome wooden remarkable, statuary set(group), stalls and rear quarter panel of the XVIth century s.
In the location of an old(former) hermitage, a church was raised(brought up) from 1105\. Of this building the lower parts(parties) of the walls of the nave remain(subsist), to which the windows which had been blocked up for a long time were put back(handed) in day in 1967: a wooden frame, today put down(deposited) to the museum of Haguenau, could be dated the 1100s by dendrochronologie. In the XVth century the chorus(choir) is rebuilt, the whole church sudden of modifications. After the war of Thirty Years, the abbey set(group) is occupied by the seminary(seminar) of Strasbourg. In Revolution, the abbey is sold to individuals: the church will be offered in 1805 to the municipality. In 1945, the church is affected by air raids, the roofing and the vaults of the chorus(choir) drilled by shells. These parts(parties) are restored from 1949\. Put down(Deposited) in 1939, the stained-glass windows of the chorus(choir) of the abbey church of Walbourg, dated of 1461, escaped bombardments.
