From March 1st to June 1st, 2025, La Piscine presents its spring exhibition season around the event exhibition "Rodin/Bourdelle. Close combat"
Bringing together more than 170 works (sculptures, drawings, but also photographs and archives), this face to face between two great masters of sculpture is the unique opportunity to cross almost fifty years of common or crossed creation, but also to discover its posterity in artists who, from Chana Orloff to Ossip Zadkine, through Germaine Richier, will initiate after them another chapter in the history of modern sculpture.
The history of 20th century sculpture has always nourished the work of Elsa Sahal. Initiated in 2015, the Pole Dance series is inspired by the lascivious and whirling poses of fans of this aerial discipline around a bar, but also by the observation of sketches by sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840-1917). Between 1903 and 1912, he made a series of fourteen terracotta drawings and models by the Spanish dancer and acrobat Alda Moreno.
Presented in the museum’s booth, the uninhibited sculpture of Elsa Sahal could only resonate perfectly with the Rodin / Bourdelle exhibition. Close combat.
On the occasion of the exhibition of intimate and organic forms created by the ceramist Elsa Sahal, the Mode de La Piscine cabins are filled with objects from the museum’s collection illustrating the words of the eighteenth-century French writer Louis Antoine Caraccioli: "There is often more art in the negligee than in the grand adornment".

Du 1er mars au 1er juin 2025, La Piscine présente sa saison d'expositions de printemps autour de l'exposition évènement "Rodin /Bourdelle. Corps à corps"
Rassemblant plus de 170 œuvres (sculptures, dessins, mais aussi photographies et archives), ce face à face entre deux grands maîtres de la sculpture est l’occasion unique de traverser presque cinquante années de création commune ou croisée, mais aussi d’en découvrir la postérité chez des artistes qui, de Chana Orloff à Ossip Zadkine, en passant par Germaine Richier, initieront après eux un autre chapitre dans l’histoire de la sculpture moderne.
L’histoire de la sculpture du XXe siècle a toujours nourri le travail d’Elsa Sahal. Initiée en 2015, la série des Pole Dance s’inspire des poses lascives et tournoyantes des adeptes de cette discipline aérienne autour d’une barre, mais aussi de l’observation des esquisses du sculpteur Auguste Rodin (1840-1917). Entre 1903 et 1912, ce dernier réalise une série de quatorze dessins et modelages en terre cuite de la danseuse et acrobate espagnole Alda Moreno.
Présentée dans l’écrin des cabines du musée, la sculpture décomplexée d’Elsa Sahal ne pouvait qu’entrer en parfaite résonance avec l’exposition Rodin / Bourdelle. Corps à corps.
À l’occasion de l’exposition des formes intimes et organiques réalisées par la céramiste Elsa Sahal, les cabines Mode de La Piscine se peuplent d’objets de la collection du musée illustrant les dires de l’écrivain français du XVIIIe siècle Louis Antoine Caraccioli : « il y a souvent plus d’art dans le déshabillé que dans la grande parure ».

Van 1 maart tot 1 juni 2025 presenteert het zwembad zijn seizoen van lente tentoonstellingen rond het tentoonstellingsevenement "Rodin / Bourdelle. Lichaam aan lichaam”
Het samenbrengen van meer dan 170 werken (beeldhouwwerken, tekeningen, maar ook foto's en archieven), is dit face-to-face tussen twee grote beeldhouwmeesters een unieke kans om bijna vijftig jaar van gezamenlijke of gekruiste creatie door te gaan, maar ook om zijn nageslacht te ontdekken onder kunstenaars die, Van Chana Orloff tot Ossip Zadkine, via Germaine Richier, begint een nieuw hoofdstuk in de geschiedenis van de moderne beeldhouwkunst.
De geschiedenis van de beeldhouwkunst in de 20e eeuw heeft altijd het werk van Elsa Sahal gevoed. De Pole Dance serie, die in 2015 werd gestart, is geïnspireerd door de lasciviele en draaiende poses van de volgelingen van deze luchtdiscipline rond een bar, maar ook door de observatie van de schetsen van beeldhouwer Auguste Rodin (1840-1917). Tussen 1903 en 1912 maakte hij een reeks van veertien terracotta tekeningen en massages van de Spaanse danser en Acrobat Alda Moreno.
De onbewerkte sculptuur van Elsa Sahal, gepresenteerd in de hutten van het museum, kon alleen maar perfect aansluiten bij de tentoonstelling Rodin/Bourdelle. Lichaam aan lichaam.
Ter gelegenheid van de tentoonstelling van intieme en organische vormen gemaakt door keramist Elsa Sahal, zijn de modehutten van het zwembad gevuld met voorwerpen uit de collectie van het museum die de woorden van de 18e eeuwse Franse schrijver Louis Antoine Caraccioli illustreren: "er is vaak meer kunst in de jurk dan in het grote ornament."
