On Tuesday 15 September at 7 p.m., a public lecture by Anne Morelli from the Université libre de Bruxelles will open the exhibition: "Resisting war propaganda" which will take place in the Salle Marianne from 15 to 17 September.
This conference and the exhibition analyze the mechanisms, strategies and effects of propaganda in times of conflict in order to reveal the constancy and repetition of the mechanisms and arguments exploited over time. In this spirit, the conference is intended as a contribution to critical political education and is accompanied by an exhibition devoted to war propaganda, designed by the War Heritage Institute of Brussels, which can be seen at the Marianne room.
The conference and the exhibition are organized by Le Mouvement de la Paix and the city of Villeneuve d'Ascq in partnership with the bookstore Les Lisières. The entrance is open from 5 p.m. and the conference starts at 7 p.m. A friendship drink will close the conference. No prior registration is required. Entry is free. A reading table will be present throughout the exhibition.

Le mardi 15 septembre à 19h, une conférence publique d’Anne Morelli, de l’Université libre de Bruxelles, ouvrira l’exposition: « Résister à la propagande de guerre » qui se déroulera à la salle Marianne du 15 au 17 septembre.
Cette conférence ainsi que l’exposition analysent les mécanismes, les stratégies et les effets de la propagande en temps de conflit afin de révéler la constance et la répétition des mécanismes et des arguments exploités au fil du temps. Dans cet esprit, la conférence se veut une contribution à l’éducation politique critique et est accompagnée d’une exposition consacrée à la propagande de guerre, conçue par le War Heritage Institute de Bruxelles, visible à la salle Marianne.
La conférence ainsi que l’exposition sont organisées par Le Mouvement de la Paix et la ville de Villeneuve d’Ascq en partenariat avec la librairie Les Lisières. L’entrée est ouverte à partir de 17h et la conférence débute à 19h. Un pot de l’amitié clôturera la conférence. Aucune inscription préalable n’est requise. L’entrée est gratuite. Une table de lecture sera présente tout au long de l’exposition.

Op dinsdag 15 september om 19.00 uur opent een openbare lezing van Anne Morelli, van de Vrije Universiteit Brussel, de tentoonstelling "Resisting war propaganda", die van 15 tot en met 17 september in Salle Marianne zal plaatsvinden.
Deze conferentie en tentoonstelling analyseren de mechanismen, strategieën en effecten van propaganda in tijden van conflict om de bestendigheid en herhaling van mechanismen en argumenten die in de loop der tijd worden geëxploiteerd, te onthullen. In deze geest is de conferentie bedoeld om bij te dragen aan kritisch politiek onderwijs en wordt zij vergezeld door een tentoonstelling gewijd aan oorlogspropaganda, bedacht door het Oorlog Heritage Institute in Brussel, zichtbaar in de Marianne Hall.
De conferentie en de tentoonstelling worden georganiseerd door de vredesbeweging en de stad Villeneuve d'Ascq in samenwerking met de boekhandel Les Lisières. De ingang is geopend vanaf 17u en de conferentie begint om 19u. Een pot vriendschap sluit de conferentie af. Er is geen voorafgaande registratie vereist. Toegang is gratis. Tijdens de tentoonstelling zal een leestafel aanwezig zijn.
