Les Jardins de la Jonction will be humming with music on Friday, June 5, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM! The 32nd edition of Arboretum is already here, and it’s a very musical one that will take us on a journey across three continents (Europe, Africa, and Latin America/the Caribbean), hosted by Geneva’s undisputed matriarch: Greta Gratos. A fanzine-making workshop with the Geneva Fanzine Library to entertain young and old alike!
On the program for this evening:
AZAR
featuring Lakshmi and Jorge, offers a contemporary take on traditional South American music.
El Flecha & Friends
This project takes you on a journey to the heart of Afro-Cuban traditions, particularly Yoruba culture, through the Batà drums.
Ignat Khlobystin
With Oxygen Hill, Ignat reinvents the flute and sets out in search of sounds capable of surprising and fascinating.
Ubuntu Live
Through this duo, Ivan Larson and Wilson Beats explore trauma, bodily memory, and solidarity in a ceremony carried by two bodies and a single ground.
Un Coglione e Due Musicisti
This new trio presents its original compositions and intimate atmospheres, inspired by the great tradition of South African jazz.
Geneva Fanzine Library
The Geneva Fanzine Library (FanzinoGE) works to preserve and promote fanzines, micro-publishing, and artist books.
In its nearly eight years of existence and 32 editions, Arboretum has showcased hundreds of Swiss and international artists, strengthening the connections between different artistic disciplines. This new edition is part of that commitment to creating unique spaces for discovery where the public can engage directly with contemporary art.
