FILMAR 2026 Roundtable Discussion: Violence Against LGBTIQ+ People—A Current Overview
As part of the 28th edition of FILMAR en América Latina, a roundtable discussion will be held on Wednesday, November 18, with the support and collaboration of the BPEV.
Woensdag 18 november, 18u30
In 2025, the Office for the Promotion of Equality and the Prevention of Violence (BPEV) published the Iceberg Survey on Gender-Based Violence in Geneva. This spring, as a follow-up to that report, it released a targeted survey on sexist, sexual, and LGBTIQ+-phobic violence, as well as domestic violence against LGBTIQ+ individuals in our canton. By drawing parallels between the realities here and those in Latin America, we present this groundbreaking report and tackle this crucial issue head-on, examining what is happening on the ground and how art can serve as a catalyst for both personal and collective transformation.
