Joyce’s home, a joyful community of transgender women, welcomes 19-year-old Kitkat, who finds a new family there. A haven of safety and solidarity for these individuals scarred by the rejection and cruelty of Philippine society. For most of them, liberation inevitably requires a costly gender reassignment surgery so they can finally live in harmony with themselves. That’s when they hatch a plan worthy of superheroines and deliver a tragicomic “trans revenge” thriller!
Inspired by a true story, the director—a storyteller and researcher for Asia’s longest-running drama anthology (Maalaala Mo Kaya)—presents an extraordinarily hybrid film that oscillates between social drama and far-fetched fiction.

La maison de Joyce, une joyeuse communauté de femmes transgenres, accueille Kitkat, 19 ans, qui trouve ainsi une nouvelle famille. Un havre de sécurité et de solidarité pour ces personnes marquées par le rejet et la cruauté de la société philippine. Pour la plupart, la délivrance passe inévitablement par une coûteuse opération de réassignation sexuelle, pour enfin vivre en accord avec elles-mêmes. C’est alors qu’elles fomentent un plan digne de super héroïnes et offrent un thriller “ trans revenge ” tragi-comique !
Inspiré par une histoire vraie, le réalisateur, conteur et chercheur de la plus longue anthologie dramatique d’Asie (Maalaala Mo Kaya), donne à voir un film extraordinairement hybride, qui fait chavirer entre le drame social et la fiction rocambolesque.
