POP ! – Geneva Chamber Orchestra Christmas Concert
A wave of madness sweeps through the Victoria Hall !
Donderdag 3 december, 19u30
@ DR
The blazing brass of the Big Up' Band kick off a Michael Jackson track, the Geneva Chamber Orchestra joins in, and the entire audience sings along to the lyrics projected above the orchestra! Pop! That's the music of this evening, dedicated among others to giants like Jackson, Quincy Jones, and Al Jarreau.
Pop ! It's the sound of a champagne cork popping for the holidays, and after this unforgettable evening, this true "Kara-orchestra."
"Quincy Jones' entire career demonstrates this: the history of Western music has revealed an incredible toolkit that the best pop artists have known how to use. Listening live to these hits we know better than we think allows us to witness, right before our eyes, the bridging of the gap between the power of oral tradition and the precision of the written score." — Raphaël Merlin

POP !
