Breathing and moving are essential for taking care of your heart. This dance and music tour was conceived, created and performed by Gnawa musician Khalil Bensid, Afro-contemporary dancer and choreographer Filibert Tologo, and cultural mediator Ana Luisa Castillo. In the MEG’s permanent exhibition, the choreographer invites participants to move and dance to music inspired by the Gnawa tradition. These moments alternate with opportunities to discover cultural objects connected with breath and life. A collective experience to explore the links between breathing, movement and heart health through the senses.
For World Heart Day, organised by the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), the MEG is offering several activities in the Jonction neighbourhood, in collaboration with the City of Geneva’s Community Health Unit. A day to learn about cardiovascular prevention through health, culture and movement.
