Was esse ich?

“To be through appearance – that seems to be the real challenge.” A quote found on the Instagram account @desmotsetdesmaux_off27, written over a photo of a herd of zebras cutting across an orange horizon at sunset.
Yoann Provenzano returns with a brand‑new show: Performance.
The comedian takes on the dictatorship of displayed success, claimed performance, and a third thing that also rhymes with “‑ance”. In the age of social media, it has never been easier to show that we’re successful, that we have the most beautiful lives—or the most beautiful dogs.
We immortalize our successes at the expense of all the failures that led us there. Why show that we almost failed, when the goal is to succeed? Who am I? Where am I going? What am I eating?
With candor and digressions, the comedian explores how human beings construct themselves in the face of the overwhelming ocean of things surrounding them. Do we exist because we are, or because we show that we are?
Yoann Provenzano fancies himself a bit of a Plato. The show may sound too intelligent—but don’t worry, it’s far dumber than it seems.
Chic attire required. Yes, really. Tonight, you too are here to PERFORM.

Oui, vriament. Ce soir, vous aussi, vous venez PERFORMER.
